Dr. Sonya Trinh received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts in 2011. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She also completed a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She received her masters degree in Public Health at the University of California in Los Angeles. She is the Associate Program Director of the Ochsner Infectious Diseases Fellowship and the Medical Director of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Infectious Diseases. Dr. Trinh is board-certified in Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2017 and practicing medicine since 2011. She has a special clinical interest in foodborne infections, fungal infections, and infections following solid organ and hematopoietic cell transplantation. Dr. Trinh enjoys traveling in her free time.
