Dr. Sonya Trinh specializes in infectious disease medicine at Ochsner Health. She has a special clinical interest in foodborne infections, fungal infections, and infections following solid organ and hematopoietic cell transplantation. Dr. Trinh received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Massachusetts in 2011. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. She also completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Trinh received her master’s degree in public health at the University of California in Los Angeles. She serves as the program director of the Ochsner Infectious Diseases Fellowship and the medical director of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Infectious Diseases. Dr. Trinh is board-certified in infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2017, and she has been practicing medicine since 2011. Dr. Trinh enjoys traveling in her free time.
