Sophie (Sophia) Burka was born and raised in Connecticut before moving to New Orleans to attend Tulane University. After graduating in 2010, she attended LSU Health Sciences Center School of Nursing for both a bachelor’s and Doctorate degree in Nursing. Sophie is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Sophie worked as a Cardiac-Medical ICU nurse at Ochsner. She joined the ENT department in 2019 and specializes in Adult ENT.
