Biography

Sun Hee Shin, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Shin completed her undergraduate training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), she completed her medical education at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Shin finished her family medicine residency at the Northside Hospital Family Medicine Program in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She then spent two decades in Georgia, before moving to Slidell, Louisiana, to join Ochsner. Dr. Shin is board-certified in family medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). She is passionate about continuity of care and preventive health. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants with her husband.
