Dr. Jan completed a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. She completed an emergency medicine residency at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Jan is board certified in emergency medicine. She is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, and the Emergency Medicine Residents Association.
