Travis A. Phipps, MD, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. He offers comprehensive care for various primary care medical needs, including chronic illnesses and acute issues. A native of southwest Louisiana, Dr. Phipps has lived in New Orleans for over 15 years.

Dr. Phipps entered medical school after a career in education and graduated from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2019. He completed his residency at East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana, in 2022. He actively participates in Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians to stay updated on evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Phipps is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while working collaboratively with them to meet individual concerns and goals. Dr. Phipps has always been interested in working at Ochsner since his time volunteering in the patient relations department during his pre-med years. While not in the clinic, he enjoys traveling with his partner and dogs, watching documentaries, playing trivia, reading and cycling.
