Biography
After earning his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines, Dr. del Mundo continued his medical training in the United States. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served as chief resident at LSUHSC – VA Medical Center and was awarded Outstanding Medical Resident by the Faculty of the Department of Internal Medicine.
Dr. del Mundo is board-certified in the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He is a member to the Louisiana State Medical Society.
His guiding practice principles have always been compassionate, competent and evidence-based medical care. Shared decision making by the patient and physician, respect for patient autonomy, collegial relationship with other healthcare professionals and lifelong medical education continue to guide his medical practice.
Dr. del Mundo is married and has two grown, married children, who are actively serving in the United States Navy. He and his wife are avid 5K runners - active participants in the NOLA track club. They are consummate travelers and foodies.
