William Davis, MD

Department Head, Rheumatology

Dr. Davis earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and obtained his M.D. at LSU Medical Center, New Orleans. He trained in Internal Medicine at Ochsner and completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at the Rackham Arthritis Research Unit, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Dr. Davis joined the medical staff at Ochsner in 1991.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Davis has served on national committees for the colleges. He is a past president of the Staff Executive Committee of the Ochnser Medical Center and a current member of the Physicians Excellence Committee. Dr. Davis is Associate Professor of the Univeristy of Queensland/Ochsner Clinical School, and is Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency.
