Ochsner Children's Health Center - Slidell provides pediatric care for your family from birth through the age 19. Our staff is dedicated keeping your family healthy from routine check-ups to vaccinations. We have your needs covered, virtually or in person.

We are making healthcare easy. One huge advantage of having a pediatrician at Ochsner is our electronic medical record. Wherever you go in the Ochsner network, your child's medical history goes with you and is accessible by specialists, urgent cares and ERs all across the Gulf South.
We are also making it easier to connect you to your doctor at any time with MyOchsner. You can call or message your doctor, schedule appointments, submit refill requests for medication and schedule preventive health reminders to help you stay on track. MyOchsner also allows you to view your results and connect your family to your records and treatment team.

Schedule an appointment
To schedule an appointment, call 985-639-3755. You may also schedule an appointment through MyOchsner.
We offer same-day and Saturday appointments. We also offer virtual visits. If you are a new patient, your first virtual appointment is at the discretion of the provider. Learn more about virtual visits, here. Ochsner Children's Health Center - Slidell accepts most major insurance plans. We are also a KidMed and VFC provider.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early for your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please make every effort to notify us within a 24-hour advanced notice. If your doctor is unavailable for an urgent problem, please consider allowing Ochsner to book an appointment for you with another provider.
Lab results
You'll get your lab results in the mail. If everything is normal, you should have them within 10 business days. If there's anything unusual, your doctor's office will call you once they get the results. For pap smear results, please wait about four to six weeks.
Prescription refills
If you need a prescription refill, please call your pharmacy to request it. If your pharmacist has any questions, they will contact Ochsner. Make sure the pharmacy sends your refill request to Ochsner at least three to five working days before you run out of your medication. If we don't get the notice in time, we can't promise your refill will be ready before you use up your current supply.
Ochsner On Call
Ochsner On Call lets you book appointments and get health advice any time, day or night, all week long. Specially trained nurses are ready to talk about your health concerns, help you decide if you need to go to the emergency room or see a doctor, and suggest ways to take care of yourself. This service is free, and you can reach it by calling 1-800-231-5257 or 504-842-3155.
Ochsner also provides:

- Completion of shot records
- School and camp forms

It’s really a great Pediatric office! I just wish my kids appointments were with their own Pediatrician more. We do get her for well visits just not always for sick visits. Otherwise it’s still a great office. The office is always clean which is very important. The only thing I wish to see in there is a section for the sick with a half wall and along the top can be planter boxes for ivys and other plants to filter the air better. There needs to be a specific area for sick because people don’t read the signs.
