The Mental Wellness Program is an intensive outpatient program designed to help adults in St. Charles Parish and surrounding parishes manage mental health challenges. It includes group therapy, individual counseling and medication management to address conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and more.
The Recovery Program is an intensive outpatient program for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. It offers therapy, medication-assisted treatment and support groups to help patients achieve long-term recovery.
Adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health or substance use challenges can join. The programs are ideal for those who need more support than traditional outpatient care but do not require inpatient hospitalization.
Both the Mental Wellness and Recovery intensive outpatient programs typically last 4-6 weeks, with patients attending 3-5 days per week for 3-4 hours per day. The exact duration depends on individual needs and progress. Light lunch and snacks are provided during the day.
Continuing care groups are also offered for up to a year following program completion.
Yes, transportation can be arranged as needed for patients within a 25-30 mile radius of St. Charles Parish Hospital.
