  • Ochsner Hospital for Children was named #1 Children’s Hospital in Louisiana in the 2023-2024 U.S. News and World Report Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. This year, Ochsner Hospital for Children ranked in cardiology and heart surgery and orthopedics by the U.S. News & World Report, which makes us the only hospital for kids in Louisiana to rank in two specialties in one year.

• Ochsner Health’s Center for Academic Excellence programs facilitate hundreds of active clinical trials, has been awarded over 46,500 CME credits, has published several Ochsner Journal articles and enrolls over 1,000 students across medical, nursing and pharmacy education programs each year.
• Ochsner Health committed $30 million in 2021 through Ochsner Scholars Program and Louisiana’s Community and Technical Colleges to grow the nursing and allied health pipeline.
• The Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program at Ochsner Health earned an initial five-year accreditation status from the American Board of Physical Therapy Residency and Fellowship Education.
• The University of Queensland – Ochsner Clinical School saw its highest match rate ever through the National Resident Matching Program – 98%.

• The Ochsner Xavier Institute for Health Equity and Research received a $2.4 million grant from WK Kellogg Foundation to achieve its goals of removing barriers to healthcare access, investing in the next generation of healthcare heroes, and understanding healthcare disparities to promote equity for all.
• Ochsner Accountable Care Network ranked 2^nd in the nation for Medicare ACO savings generated - $30.3 million.
• Ochsner Health launched the Healthy State Initiative to improve Louisiana’s healthcare rankings and enact critical improvements to enhance care access and improve health equity and health outcomes.
• The Ochsner Health Plan launched in 2022 Medicare open enrollment to provide the Louisiana Medicare community more options for great healthcare coverage.
