Pediatric Hospital Medicine
The pediatric hospital medicine team at Ochsner Children's is dedicated to providing comprehensive, personalized and evidence-based care to hospitalized infants, children and teens. Our team of hospitalists offers an interdisciplinary approach, encourages open discussion, and respects the parents’ and child’s rights to participate in the planning of care. We are attending providers who manage complex diagnostic problems, coordinate care among subspecialists, and encourage active family participation in the healthcare process. Our team of hospitalists cares for newborns, acutely ill children from the community, and medically complex patients that are followed by subspecialists. In addition to excellent patient care, we are also committed to resident and medical student education, to quality transitions of care from hospital to pediatrician, and to advocacy for patient safety through quality improvement initiatives.
