Adaku Adebamiji, MD, is a pediatric gastroenterologist with Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Dr. Adebamiji specializes in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal, hepatic and nutritional disorders in infants, children and adolescents. Her clinical interests include constipation, inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal disorders, celiac disease, abdominal pain, feeding difficulties, nutrition, pancreatic disorders and polyposis syndromes.

Dr. Adebamiji earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital followed by fellowship training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital. She is board-certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.

Her clinical experience includes a broad variety of procedures including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, foreign body removal, esophageal dilation, hemostasis and polypectomy.

Dr. Adebamiji is committed to providing compassionate, family-centered and culturally competent care. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, movies, travel and staying active.
