Amanda Preedom, MD, practices general pediatrics at Ochsner Health, focusing on the treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in patients ranging from newborns to college graduates. Her prior experience working in a rural area with limited referral resources has honed her skills in managing diverse medical conditions in the clinic setting, utilizing current medical expertise and empathy.

After earning her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, Dr. Preedom completed her Pediatric Residency at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Preedom is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys reading, traveling and discovering new recipes to cook.
