Biography
As an addiction medicine physician, she is deeply committed to caring for the whole person and recognizes substance use disorders as complex, chronic medical conditions that intersect with nearly every aspect of health. She partners with individuals and families as they navigate recovery, grounding her work in a strong physician-patient relationship.
She centers her practice on understanding each patient’s goals and values, collaborating to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that support long-term recovery and overall well-being. She is particularly passionate about integrating addiction treatment into primary care settings, expanding access to medications for opioid and alcohol use disorders and reducing stigma through compassionate, patient-centered care. Her broader clinical interests include women’s health, chronic disease management and advancing equitable care for individuals historically marginalized by the healthcare system.
She is thrilled to be reunited with the food, live oaks, and even humidity of New Orleans, and she is grateful to be able to join Ochsner serving the community she loves.
