Ana Valente, MD

Ana Valente completed her undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and played soccer at King University in Bristol, Tennessee. She then received her medical degree from The University of Tennessee's College of Medicine. She completed her Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology here at The Ochsner Clinic Foundation, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. During her training, Dr. Valente received honors including the Ochsner House Staff Teaching Award, the Ochsner OBYGN Teaching Award and the American Association of Gynecologic Laproscopist's Recognition of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. In addition, in 2018 Dr. Valente was named Ochsner's Resident Leader of the Year. Dr. Valente is passionate about medical education. She enjoys teaching medical students and residents and participating in research. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling and playing soccer!
