Andrea Cothern received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology at Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1992 before pursuing a career in nursing. She has worked as a registered nurse since 1993, mainly in the areas of Cardiology and Critical Care before pursuing her advanced degree. She received her masters degree in nursing from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans in 2003. She has worked as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner since 2003, and has been with Ochsner since 2007. Andrea is board-certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. She practices in Baton Rouge at the Ochsner Clinic Jefferson Place location.
