Barbara F. Beckham, MSN, APRN, FNP- C, practices family medicine at Ochsner Health. Specializing in primary care, Barbara has expertise in family medicine, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including preventive care, treatment of acute illnesses and management of chronic conditions.

Barbara earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Delgado Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans in 2006. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2016 from Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and obtained her master’s degree in nursing from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2018. She is a board-certified advanced nurse practitioner. Barbara holds a national certification with American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Neurology. Barbara actively participates in continuing education programs to stay updated on medical advancements.

Barbara’s patient-centered approach emphasizes compassionate care and personalized treatment plans. She is dedicated to addressing patients’ medical needs while understanding individual concerns and goals. Barbara has been practicing at Ochsner since 2023. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.
