I have had this same problem on and off for over 41 years. He immediately asked how I was coping, my experiences with my condition, available treatment regimens, he tried to learn how this condition affected my work life, my personal life, what I usually did when my condition flared up...he was quite knowledgeable and genuinely show concern for my condition and how he could help me the day of the appointment and in the future. Dr. Cottrell was a prime example of the type of Doctors Ochsners has on staff. They always seem to go much further in helping their patients than other facilities. Dr. Cottrell provided a great experience and really made me feel at ease. I will not hesitate going back to him or recommending him and his staff.
