Caley McIntyre, MD, practices hospital medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. McIntyre received his doctor of medicine degree from Northwestern Universitys Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, after which he served as chief resident and assistant clinical instructor prior to joining Ochsner. Dr. McIntyre is the Vice-Chair of Education for the Department of Hospital Medicine, a senior lecturer for the University of Queensland-Ochsner Clinical School and has been the program director of Ochsners Internal Medicine Residency since 2019. Dr. McIntyre is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2014. In addition to practicing hospital medicine, he leads the training of internal medical residents at Ochsner. He has received teaching awards from both Ochsners Internal Medicine Residency Program and the University of Queensland - Ochsner Clinical School, and is active in academic medicine. He has a special interest in quality improvement, medical education and medicine consultation for the hospitalized patient. Dr. McIntyre was a 2008-2009 Fulbright-Garca Robles Scholar in Mexico City, Mexico, focusing on public health programs, and he deeply appreciates good chilaquiles.
