In his duties, he also served as a consultant to the National Cancer Institute and the White House Medical Unit. Dr. Hamilton has published over 80 scientific articles, reviews, and book chapters. He has served on multiple national committees and was a subspecialty board examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Programmatic Panel Member for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. He is on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Womens Cancer (FWC) and has spoken at numerous FWC educational courses designed to support patients and caregivers. Dr. Hamilton received his undergraduate degree with academic distinction in Biology at the United States Air Force Academy and his medical degree with honors from the Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wilford Hall USAF and Brooke Army Medical Centers in San Antonio, Texas and his fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Stanford University and the University of California at San Francisco.
