Cheree Bodden specializes in medical oncology at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. She earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at LSU Health New Orleans and a master's degree in nursing at Southeastern Louisiana University. She also holds an associate's degree from the Delgado Charity School of Nursing. Her professional memberships include the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. Ever since she was a young girl she wanted to go into the nursing field. She received her associate's degree in nursing from Charity Nursing School in New Orleans in 2010. She worked for Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans on the cardio-thoracic surgery step-down unit for two and a half years. While working, she attended Louisiana State University Health Science Center in New Orleans and received her bachelor's degree in nursing in 2013. She also has experience in home health and worked at a local home health agency for two years. She began working at Ochsner in Baton Rouge in January 2015 on the telemetry unit. During her three and a half years working on this unit, she attended Southeastern Louisiana University Nursing Graduate School and received her masters in nursing science in December 2017. She transferred to the hematology oncology group in June 2018 and has been working under and for a wonderful group of physicians and nurses.She believes in treating everyone in a manner in which she would like to be treated. Involving patients in their plan of care and education facilitates positive patient health outcomes and is something she is passionate about.
