Dr. David Elizardi is a cardiologist at Ochsner Health and practices at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. He specializes in consultative cardiology. He is a New Orleans native and attended Emory University for his undergraduate degree. Dr. Elizardi returned to New Orleans where he earned his medical degree from Tulane University. He completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Elizardi completed a cardiology fellowship at the Ochsner Clinic followed by research fellowships in echocardiography at the University of California-San Francisco and the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Elizardi has been board certified in cardiovascular diseases since 1979. He was on the staff of the Ochsner Clinic from 1978-1988, after which he practiced private cardiology in Uptown New Orleans. Following Hurricane Katrina, he moved his practice from Ochsner Baptist (formerly Baptist Memorial) to the West Bank and rejoined Ochsner in late 2006.
