Biography

Dr. Deidra S. Long practices pathology at Ochsner Health. She received her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2014. She went on to complete a general surgery internship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She then went into pathology and completed her residency at the Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. She completed her fellowship in breast pathology at the University of Florida - Jacksonville. Dr. Long is board certified by American Board of Pathology and has been on staff at Ochsner since October 2020, and practicing medicine since October 2020. Dr. Long enjoys spending time with family, running and watching Golden Girls her free time.
