Dr. David Sledge received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and his M.D. degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He completed an Internship and Residency in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.

Dr. Sledge is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and has been on the staff of Ochsner Health since 1993. Dr. Sledge serves at the Medical Director of the Diabetes Management Program at Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge.

I enjoyed meeting Dr. Sledge so much. He was not what I expected. Truly I thought he was going to be old and dry but to my surprise. Totally opposite. If anyone knows me , they know I can be so non compliant. He made me feel so good about myself and what I could achieve. He knows exactly how to treat each patient by meeting them where they are.
