Dr. West received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, LA and medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He then completed his internship and residency in psychiatry at LSU's Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) and Ochsner in New Orleans, LA. Subsequently, he completed a fellowship in electroconvulsive therapy at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA as well as a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at LSUHSC in New Orleans, LA.

Dr. West is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has been practicing psychiatry since 2018. Dr. West’s expertise is in consultative psychiatry, forensic mental health, electroconvulsive therapy and telemedicine. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, spending time with family and going on outdoor adventures.
