Geoffrey Hogan, MD, practices sports medicine at Ochsner Health. Dr. Hogan has expertise in the nonoperative management of orthopedic, musculoskeletal and sports injuries and conditions, including joint injections, orthobiologics, minimally invasive tenotomy and debridement with TenJet and cryoneurolysis with Iovera, offering comprehensive care for various medical needs, including sports injuries, fractures, arthritis-related pain, tendon injuries as well as sports-related concussions in athletes. After undergraduate studies at Tulane University, Dr. Hogan earned a medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2018. He completed a residency in family medicine and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at John Peter Smith Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas, in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. Dr. Hogan actively participates in the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, American and Louisiana Academies of Family Physicians and American Medical Society to stay updated on medical advancements. Dr. Hogan is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of their patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He has been practicing at Ochsner since 2022. Outside of medicine, he enjoys time with his family and basset hounds, exercising, camping, fly fishing, golfing, hiking, hunting and watching LSU and Tulane athletics.
