Dr. Galliano grew up in Harvey, Louisiana and has many fond childhood experiences enjoying the beautiful bayous of South Louisiana fishing and crabbing with her family. She attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate degree and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for medical school. She returned home for an internship year in general surgery at Ochsner Medical Center, and then began pathology residency at Tulane University in New Orleans. She completed her residency and a surgical pathology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and fellowship in Cytopathology at the University of California Los Angeles where she remained as associate professor in pathology until returning home to Louisiana and Ochsner Health in 2012 . Dr. Galliano participates in an active anatomic pathology clinical service and her research and clinical interests include liver and transplant pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and cytopathology and is currently the project lead for the digital pathology initiative.
