A Manhattan, New York native, Dr. Ginsberg graduated cum laude in biology from Tulane University. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his pediatric internship, residency, and neonatal fellowship at the Charity Hospital program affiliated with Tulane University in New Orleans.
Dr. Ginsberg is board certified in both pediatrics and neonatal/perinatal medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner since 1987. He is the section head of neonatal medicine and medical director of Ochsner's neonatal intensive care unit.
Dr. Ginsberg is the founder and medical director of Mothers' Milk Bank of Louisiana at Ochsner Baptist. He has written chapters for medical textbooks on neonatology and has published scientific medical articles in the New England Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Perinatology, and Clinics in Perinatology among others. Dr. Ginsberg's professional interests include the use of donor human milk to prevent neonatal intestinal disease as well as the role of human milk in infection prevention.
