Biography
Irielle Banks earned her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2012. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University Medical Center School of Nursing - New Orleans in 2008.
Ms. Banks joined the endocrine department in 2013. She is a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Diabetes Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, Nurses Christian Fellowship and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
Her special interests include holistic/ spiritual care impacting diabetes management, psychosocial effects on chronic disease, health care literacy, and new-onset diabetes in the transplant population.
