Jason Morvant, MD, practices general surgery at Ochsner Health. Dr. Morvant earned his medical degree in 2001 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency training at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi, in 2005, and the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, in 2006. Dr. Morvant has also received extensive training in expeditionary medical services, combat casualty care and commissioned officer training while in the military. Dr. Morvant is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and joined Ochsner in July 2019. Dr. Morvant is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and has served as a liaison to the Governors Committee on Chapter Activities from 2004 through 2006. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Iberia Parish Medical Society, where he served on the board from 2014 through 2017.
