Jeffrey S. Kuo, MD, MMM, FACEP, FAAEM, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Ochsner Health. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2004. Prior to joining Ochsner in 2008, he completed his residency at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. In 2023, he received a Master of Medical Management from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.


Dr. Kuo serves as system chair of Patient Flow and EMS and system medical director of Emergency Management and Security at Ochsner. He leads the emergency medicine telehealth program. He also founded the Asian-American and Pacific Islander employee resource group. He serves as the physician leader for event medicine, coordinating medical operations for major events such as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Super Bowl LIX, where he chaired the Medical Subcommittee for the New Orleans Host Committee.


Since 2009, Dr. Kuo has served as the on-field Airway Management and Emergency Response Physician for the New Orleans Saints. He completed two terms on the Louisiana Bureau of EMS Commission in 2022 and previously held roles as medical director of Ochsner Flight Care and St. Charles Parish EMS.
