Jeffrey Kuo, MD, MMM specializes in emergency medicine at Ochsner Health. He is a board-certified in emergency medicine. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2004 and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2008.

At Ochsner Health, Dr. Kuo serves as System Chair of Patient Flow and EMS and as System Medical Director of Emergency Management and Security. He also leads the Emergency Medicine telehealth program and serves as physician leader for Event Medicine, overseeing medical operations for large-scale, high-acuity events including the Super Bowl and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Since 2009, he has served as the on-field Airway Management and Emergency Response Physician for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League.

Dr. Kuo completed two terms on the Louisiana Bureau of EMS Commission in 2022 and previously served as Medical Director of Ochsner Flight Care and St. Charles Parish EMS. He is also the founder of Ochsner’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Employee Resource Group.
