Katrece Barber, NP, practices primary care medicine at Ochsner Health. She received both her bachelor of science degree in nursing and her master of science degree in family nurse practitioner studies from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, womens health, urgent care, cardiovascular disease and family medicine. Prior to joining the Ochsner primary care team, Katrece worked as a nurse practitioner in various urgent care settings throughout the Greater Baton Rouge area. She also has a nine-year history of care in Telemetry as a registered nurse. Katrece is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She actively participates in the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners and American Association of Nurse Practitioners to stay updated on medical advancements. Katrece is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, serving the community, playing volleyball, card games and spending time with my family.
