Biography
Dr. Haber is internationally recognized for his expertise in pediatric spine surgery, transforming Ochsner into a leading pediatric spine center. Patients travel from across the United States and South America to seek his care, and surgeons visit to learn VBT, a minimally invasive, motion-sparing scoliosis treatment. He is also active in treating pediatric trauma and fractures. His research focuses on scoliosis surgery, and he has delivered numerous national and international presentations and publications.
Dr. Haber has held leadership roles in the Pediatric Spine Study Group Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America and the Scoliosis Research Society, including serving on the board of directors and is a part of the prestigious Harms Study Group. He is deeply committed to educating the next generation of pediatric spine surgeons. Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Haber enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar and violin, golfing and fishing.
