Lea C. Tan, FNP-BC, practices nephrology at Ochsner Health. Lea received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation in San Carlos City, Philippines, and her Master of Science in family nurse practitioner studies from Southeastern Louisiana University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She completed clinical rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, womens health, and sports medicine. Prior to joining the Ochsner team, Lea practiced as a nurse practitioner completing in-home health evaluations assessing the whole-health needs of her patients. Lea is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Credentialing Center. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. Lea is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Lea is fluent in Filipino/Tagolog.
