Mark Bell, MD

Mark Bell, MD, practices hospital medicine at Ochsner Health. A native of Oklahoma, Dr. Bell earned a bachelors degree in microbiology with a minor in chemistry. He enrolled in the Australia-USA international medical program from 2012 to 2016. He received his medical degree from The University of Queensland School of Medicine, which has repeatedly been ranked as a top 50 medical school worldwide. Dr. Bell completed his residency training in internal medicine at Ochsner in New Orleans. At the end of his residency, he was selected as chief resident and stayed on an extra year to teach and manage the upcoming residents. Dr. Bell is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been in New Orleans at Ochsner since 2014, both learning and practicing. Dr. Bell treats acutely ill patients at Ochsner Medical Center - West Bank Campus, and, in 2023, he became medical director and head of hospital medicine at that location.
