Nathan Vicknair, DO, specializes in gastroenterology at Ochsner Health in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He evaluates and treats a wide range of digestive and liver conditions, providing patient centered care for adults with both acute and chronic gastrointestinal concerns.

Dr. Vicknair earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Carolina. He completed his internal medicine residency at Trios Health in Washington, followed by fellowship training in gastroenterology at UCHealth Parkview in Colorado.

His clinical interests include the evaluation and management of common and complex gastrointestinal conditions, including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, pancreatic disorders and functional gastrointestinal concerns. He also performs diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures as part of comprehensive patient care.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Vicknair enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, fishing and running.
