Nicholas Carothers PA-C practices orthopedic surgery with a focus on hand surgery at Ochsner Health. Nicholas is originally from Parkland, Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree in food science from Florida State University and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2023. He is a National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants board-certified physician assistant and is licensed in the state of Louisiana. Nicholas previously worked in orthopedic hand surgery in the greater New Orleans area before starting with Ochsner in 2025.

Nicholas is offering comprehensive care for various medical needs including carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, fractures of the hand, wrist and elbow, tendonitis of the upper extremity and more. He is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of his patients while understanding individual concerns and goals. He is a member of Louisiana Orthopedic Association. Outside of medicine, he enjoys sports especially basketball and football.
