Biography

Dr. Omotola O. Uwaifo has been on staff at Ochsner Health since 2010 in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) as a neonatologist. She received her medical degree from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She completed her fellowship in neonatology at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. Dr. Uwaifo is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine (Neonatology). She has a special clinical interest in clinical teaching and neonatal resuscitation. She believes that all newborns deserve the very best start possible. Dr. Uwaifo enjoys watching soccer and Star Trek in her free time.
