Dr. Prashant Minocha practices pediatric cardiology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. Dr. Minocha earned his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad. He completed his pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami and pediatric cardiology fellowship at New York University in Langone, New York. He pursued an advanced fellowship in non-invasive cardiac imaging at Children's Hospital of Colorado. Within the realm of non-invasive cardiac imaging, Dr. Minocha's interests include, echocardiography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT). He is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Minocha has a strong interest in academic medicine. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles describing innovative imaging approaches for various congenital and acquired pediatric cardiac diseases. He is an assistant clinical professor with the University of Queensland- Ochsner MD program. Dr. Minocha is an active member of esteemed professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Echocardiography, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Dr. Minocha is accepting new patients in pediatric and fetal cardiology.
