Dr. Rahl Prasankumar graduated from Columbia University in New York and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center in the Bronx, where he was also a Chief Resident in 2009. He previously worked at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx from 2009-2013.

Dr. Prasankumar joined Ochsner in 2013 and works at the Jefferson Highway and Baptist hospitals. Dr. Prasankumar is board certified with the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
