Rufus Lester “Les” Hixon, M.D. has more than 30 years’ experience in medicine, including 25 as a pediatric cardiologist in Baton Rouge. Dr. Hixon earned a medical degree from Medical College of Georgia, where he also completed a pediatric internship and residency, as well as a pediatric cardiology fellowship. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. Dr. Hixon sees patients at our Ochsner Medical Complex The Grove location.

The doctor came in within 2-3 minutes VERY FRIENDLY and energetic. He came in with a plan and our talk was very easy. He was knowledgeable and built parent to doctor trust easily. I love going there and my daughter does too. The entire clinic is just AMAZING and I rate them an easy 5 star clinic OR MORE if I could.
He was very nice and helped explain everything. I felt like he could feel my stress and he reassured me that everything was okay. He was very caring!
