Biography
Samantha Penar, APRN FNP-BC, specializes in diabetes management at Ochsner Health. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Iowa and her bachelor of science degree from Chamberlain University. During college she was able to study abroad in Costa Rica for Spanish and went to Brazil to provide nursing care. Mrs. Penar earned her Master of Science in nursing at Chamberlain University in 2016. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner by American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2016.
Mrs. Penar worked in emergency room settings for seven years while living in New York. She moved to New Orleans and started working at Ochsner in 2025. She is dedicated to addressing the medical needs of her patients while understanding individual concerns and goals
