Biography
Dr. Budney earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. She went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She is board-certified in general surgery by the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Budney is also an active member of the American Hernia Society and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, reflecting her commitment to staying at the forefront of surgical care.
Dr. Budney is recognized for her patient-centered approach, taking time to understand each patient’s goals while providing expert surgical care tailored to their needs. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, caring for houseplants and furniture flipping.
