Sherry Coleman, PMHNP-BC, practices psychiatry at Ochsner Health. Sherry provides compassionate care to patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. With a strong foundation in behavioral health and perioperative care, she brings a well-rounded, patient-centered approach to psychiatric treatment. Her extensive experience includes crisis intervention, medication management, and psychiatric evaluations across inpatient and outpatient settings.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing with a focus on psychiatric care from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. She also holds degrees in nursing and biology from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University and Southeastern Louisiana University.

Sherry’s diverse clinical background enables her to address both the psychological and physical aspects of patient care. Known for her empathy, clinical judgment and commitment to patient education, she works closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote recovery and emotional wellness.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family. She is passionate about empowering patients through individualized treatment plans, helping them navigate their mental health journeys with confidence and support.
