Dr. Walia is a native of New Orleans and completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 2001. She completed her internship at Georgetown University and her dermatology residency at George Washington University in Washington D.C. She also completed a Mohs Surgery fellowship at Dermatologic Surgery Specialists in Macon, Georgia. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American College of Mohs Surgery. Her areas of interest include Mohs Micrographic Surgery, dermatologic surgery, and skin cancer.
