Biography

Dr. Thomas West practices anesthesiology at Ochsner Health. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in 1988 and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1992. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1996. He is board-certified in anesthesiology and has practiced medicine since 1996. Dr. West joined Ochsner in June 2019.

Dr. West is adept at all aspects of anesthesiology including acute pain management. He enjoys the pharmacologic aspects, procedure requirements and patient interactions needed to be successful.
