Biography

Dr. Troy Drewitz received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Shreveport. Following medical school, he completed his internship and residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita. He completed his fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wesley Medical Center. Dr. Drewitz is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and has been on staff at Ochsner since 2011. He has practiced medicine professionally since 2003. Dr. Drewitzs expertise is in obstetrics and gynecology. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery. He also lectures at the University of Queensland, Ochsner Clinical School.

Dr. Drewitz, and his team was very caring, he took the time to explain everything to me in order for me to make what discussion I wanted to make. Has for my procedure I went in very nervous but with help and care of Dr. Drewitz n his, I got through it with flying colors

The doctor was very concerned. He examined me and did my routine pap smear. Also I was scheduled other tests like a pelvis ultrasound and mammogram I will complete them as soon as I schedule them. He explained my treatment plan and I was prescribed medication to help with this problem. I felt comfortable expressing myself and knowing my doctor cares is a plus. I will be following up in 3 months.

Dr. Drewitz has been my dr. since 2006. I drive almost 2 hrs. to see him since he moved in 2011 - that should speak volumes about what kind of dr. he is.
