Venerando Randy del Mundo, MD, FACP, practices internal medicine at Ochsner Health - Prairieville with particular interests in diabetes care, high blood pressure and weight management. With over 20 years of experience in clinical medicine, Dr. del Mundo provides comprehensive care for a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. He is invested in the preventive medical care for his patients and is dedicated to addressing their healthcare needs while understanding their individual concerns and goals. After earning his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines, Dr. del Mundo continued his medical training in the United States. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He served as chief resident at LSUHSC VA Medical Center and was awarded Outstanding Medical Resident by the Faculty of the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. del Mundo is board-certified in the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He is a member to the Louisiana State Medical Society. His guiding practice principles have always been compassionate, competent and evidence-based medical care. Dr. del Mundo is married and has two grown, married children, who are actively serving in the United States Navy. He and his wife are avid 5K runners - active participants in the NOLA track club.
