Ochsner Health is the leading nonprofit healthcare provider in the Gulf South. Ochsner inspires healthier lives and stronger communities through our mission to serve, heal, lead, educate and innovate.
We are proud to name our fellowship program in honor of Michael F. Hulefeld—a leader whose journey began as a Fellow and culminated as President & COO of Ochsner Health. His career reflects exceptional service, integrity, achievement and a deep commitment to developing others.
For decades, Mike has invested in this program, mentoring fellows, supporting alumni and shaping leaders across our system.
Though retired from his role as President & COO at Ochsner Health, Mike will continue to offer his time and wisdom, supporting each new cohort and sharing the insight and experience that have long defined his leadership career.
This program has been dedicated in his honor, as a tribute to his enduring legacy and with our gratitude for a leader who has built, strengthened and inspired our community.
Celebrating 55 years in 2026, Ochsner’s Administrative and Finance Fellowship Programs have provided extensive training, project work and rotational opportunities throughout our integrated healthcare system.
