Dr. Jonathan Babin earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at Ochsner Medical Center and his fellowship in Trauma/Critical Care Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center. He joined the Ochsner faculty as an Acute Care Surgeon in 2018.
Dr. Babin’s areas of expertise include general and gastrointestinal surgery, intra-abdominal sepsis and infections, trauma, and critical care. He is heavily interested in abdominal wall reconstruction, intensive care performance improvement, and resident education.
